If you have been out of the workforce for some time, preparing to break back in can be a very daunting task. However, the truth is that it doesn’t need to be!

The very first step is to start by talking to those around you about what options could look like for you. You will need to make sure that you have worked out child care arrangements (if applicable) before you start to engage with potential employers.
1. Make sure that your CV is up to date. The preferred formatting for CVs may have changed since you last applied for a job, so it would be worth checking out our advice on preparing a CV here and our template here.
