Our client, a progressive law firm in central Wellington, has an exciting opportunity for a switched on Practice Manager to join the team (25 hours per week) and make a significant contribution to the future development of the firm.
As Practice Manager, you will be highly trusted by the Partners and have day to day responsibility for people, property and processes, encouraging and supporting the team and providing strategic guidance to the Partners. You will need to be great with people, willing to bring ideas to the table and have a passion for client service.
There will also be a focus on taking the lead with several key projects – rebranding and website initially, and ongoing tech transformation over the coming years. Excellent knowledge of time recording systems and practice management systems will be critical as you need to understand how all the technology and systems integrate together.
You will be fully involved and contributing to:
• Business improvement - systems and processes
• Human resources and training
• Affinity practice management system
• Premises - repairs and maintenance
• IT - first point of contact
• Commercial supplier relationships
• Equipment and maintenance
• Special projects
This role is suited to someone with extensive experience working in law firms (or professional service firms) - you will need to be driven, engaged, innovative, IT savvy and great with systems and software. You may be an experienced Practice Manager looking for reduced hours, or you may be a top notch Legal Secretary who is looking for a career stretch.
