Health & Safety for our
Temps & Contractors
Our commitment to your safety
Safety comes first for all those who engage with GBL, and we are dedicated to providing a safe working environment for all of our temporary candidates and contractors. Whilst you are on assignment through GBL, your safety and well-being is a shared responsibility between GBL as your employer, the client where you are assigned, and yourself.
GBL’s health & safety promise
-
Workplace Health & Safety - We make sure that all our employees are placed in safe environments by visiting our clients before and during assignments, and completing a health and safety checklist with them on a regular basis.
-
Timesheets – Your health and safety status is a mandatory feature on our timesheets. This is to ensure inductions are competed in the first week of your assignment, as well as providing us with a weekly update. Any issues are automatically emailed to your GBL consultant – and we will be in contact promptly.
-
Health & Safety Reporting – We document and closely monitor all accidents, incidents, injuries or near-misses, and your GBL consultant will guide you through the process.
-
Advice and Support – If you are unsure about a situation, please contact your GBL consultant immediately – we will be able to assist with workstation assessments, ergonomic equipment or advice.
Your health & safety promise to us
-
To work in a safe manner to prevent risk of harm to yourself or others
-
To participate in health & safety induction and training seminars with GBL and the client, including making yourself aware of the client’s emergency procedures
-
To cooperate with, and follow all safety rules and procedures of GBL and the client
-
To report any workplace injury, incident or unsafe working condition or procedure immediately to GBL and your client supervisor, including any changes of work location
-
To take an active role in rehabilitation following an injury or illness.
